Bi1 has, according to Schmidt, eliminated many of these issues and restrictions for good. Using all the information, figures and statistics stored in the ERP system and the add-on programs as a basis, the add-on program makes it possible to generate and regularly update countless different graphs and flowcharts – and this within a matter of seconds. The parameters that form the basis for this can be developed and implemented using automatic suggestions from the system or on the user’s own creative initiative. Schmidt: “Despite the fact that we don’t use the entire system, we’re already receiving precise information as to whether purchase prices need to be adjusted, which variations are occurring in which segments and company divisions and how invoicing is being carried out.” The results gleaned from these figures currently serve two different groups: the management team, i.e. managing directors and departmental and team leaders who draw conclusions for company management and change management projects, and the staff, who can read selected information on a notice board.
